Well. The year of our Lord 2023 has come and gone, and with it, all the good intentions I had for this blog last year. Oops.

You see, after the first couple of posts, time got away from me, and unfortunately so did any interest in writing. I put my blog on the back burner, thinking I didn’t want to delete it quite yet but honestly assuming I’d written my last post.

It turns out, though… I miss writing.

This blog has had so many intentions over the years. I started it because I thought I needed a writer’s platform. I’ve done book reviews, gift lists, blog posts about blogging, and more. (The book reviews are all still here, but some of the rest has been archived.)

When I logged in today, for the first time in months, I was surprised to see my stats. I figured it’d be a very flat line hovering around zero views! But I guess content takes on a life of its own, in spite of its creator, and it warmed my heart to see that some of the reviews had been recently read. So I suspect (and hope) that my reading friends are still out there seeking and sharing great books.

As it stands, most of the material I post here will still be book related… some reviews, some lists, etc. But I may branch out a little too. No promises on consistency at the moment, but I’m looking forward to seeing what this little corner of the internet might still hold for our reading community.
