As I write this, it’s one week until Christmas Eve! December has flown by just like the rest of 2020. And with shipping delays and overload this year, you’re pretty much out of time to order online and expect things to show up by Christmas.
So if you still have gifts to buy, what are your options? Well, you could put on your mask and your coat and go stand in line in the stores… but there’s a better way.
Instead, you can sit on your sofa, drinking hot chocolate or coffee, and snag these ideas to be delivered digitally… no muss, no fuss! Read on for some quick, last minute gifts that are sure to light up anyone’s holiday!
Gift Card for Bookshop.org
Have you heard about Bookshop? It combines the convenience of big box online shopping with a great opportunity to support local independent book stores. You can choose a specific shop if you have a favorite, but otherwise, profits from these online orders go into an earnings pool that is distributed among independent book stores. It’s an amazing site that I plan to use much more in the coming year.
While the window has closed to safely order physical books before Christmas, you can still buy and email a Bookshop gift card. This lets your recipient choose their own books, and it doubles as a gift to support favorite local business and all small business. It’s a win-win for those needing a quick gift that’s thoughtful on multiple levels!
Etsy Gift Card
Here’s another way to support small businesses: Give an Etsy gift card. Etsy is made up of small shops and there’s truly something for everyone. You’ll be gifting the chance for your loved one to pick out a one of a kind item from a small entrepreneur!
Or, if you really want to pick out an item yourself, but are short on time, try a search for digital download items that you can download and print for your recipient! (Grab a nice frame when you do any last minute in-person shopping, and you have a winner!)
Kindle Gift Card (or other digital gift cards from Amazon)
If you’re at a loss and need to browse for ideas, it’s hard to go wrong with Amazon’s storefront. They have digital or email gift cards for so many different merchants! Click here and browse some options!
Another thought: if your intended recipient is a reader, you can’t go wrong with a Kindle gift card, or a subscription to Kindle Unlimited!
So… any of these you think you’ll grab for a loved one? Hopefully it gives you a bit of holiday inspiration. Good luck with that last minute shopping, friends!
