Friends, I wanted to share something with you.  I’ve decided to step back from blogging for now, so The Biblio Blonde will be on hiatus for the forseeable future.  The blog will remain online, so you’ll be able to access any previous posts or reviews, but I won’t be updating it with new content.  I’ve also deactivated the Pinterest account and the Facebook page connected with my blog.

Sometimes, even an activity you love wears on you.  Between writing, promoting, and reading books on a schedule, I started feeling a little burnt out.  When I recently reminded myself that I “should read” it was a bit of a revelation… since when did reading become work?  So, it was time to set aside some pieces of my book life that were bringing more stress than enjoyment.

I’m hopeful that after some time away, I can come up with a way to do this that preserves joy, and return with renewed energy and fresh ideas.  In the meantime, you can find me on Instagram or Goodreads, as I will still be posting on those accounts. (Links below, or you can access them through the feeds in the sidebar or footer.)

Thank you for your support over the past year… I’ve enjoyed getting to know so many writers and book lovers.  I wish you all the best and hope to see you around the community… as always, happy reading!

  1. Thank goodness I’m not the only one feeling burnt out!! I’m sorry to hear you’re stepping away from the blog for awhile, but I COMPLETELY understand. I’ve also become very overwhelmed with the pressure to market, publicize, post, read, cook/bake, EVERYTHING…all in the oh-so-many hours I’m not working my “day job,” lol. I’ve been really having to motivate myself lately to do blog work, and I recently reminded myself that “work” is not what my blog is for–it’s for fun. It’s a hobby. Somewhere over the past 10 months, that got lost in the shuffle of stats and pins and hashtags. I’ve recently scaled down to posting only once a week on the blog, and posting to social media only a few times a week…as opposed to twice a week for the blog, and 5 times a week for sm. So far, it’s helping, and I’m enjoying blogging a bit more again. Hopefully, I can hold on to this. I’m so sorry you’re having this “crisis of faith,” as it were; I know how awful it feels to be going through that. I hope that your time away brings you the renewed energy you need, either for the blog or something else that you might want to do! And, I’ve very much enjoyed your reviews and blog. 🙂 Take care, and see you on IG and Goodreads! xoxo
